The desire for a more meaningful existence is a beautiful realization, indicating a deep yearning to align with your true essence. However, this quest often presents numerous challenges.
This struggle primarily stems from a disconnection from our inner selves. Our capacity to forge meaningful relationships, choose fulfilling careers, and create sustainable lives is often hindered by this disconnect. Regardless of material wealth or societal status, the core issue lies within.
This internal conflict is a widespread human experience, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries. The question then arises: how does this disconnection manifest in our lives?
Our soul strives to embody a higher purpose, yet we remain ensnared by our lower selves, dominated by ego. In the West, one can observe this in the deterioration of capitalism and the desensitization to intimacy. Conversely, in Southeast Asia, we witness the exploitation of religion for selfish gains and an excessive dependence on divine intervention, neglecting personal agency.
Having lived in both regions extensively, I can share these insights.
Now, we face the challenge of reconciling this disconnect. How do we bridge the divide between our current selves and our higher selves?
Imagine your inner state as a cluttered room filled with chaos—clothes strewn about, empty bottles littering the floor, and a crumpled duvet. The first step in this process is to clear away the clutter—the excess baggage.
In this context, the clutter symbolizes the distractions that obscure our true selves, preventing us from recognizing our inherent beauty. Some individuals resort to addictive behaviors to escape confronting uncomfortable truths, while others may use wealth to mask feelings of inadequacy, leading to greed.
The deeper the level of consciousness, the more excess one tends to carry, resulting in a significant divide from their higher self.
Understanding the origins of this excess is crucial. It is your responsibility to uncover the underlying fears and traumas that perpetuate this low vibrational energy. Factors such as childhood trauma, societal conditioning, and harmful ideologies contribute to this struggle.
Chapter 2: The Beauty of Connection
Connecting with your true self is a profoundly enriching experience. I set aside dedicated time for meditation to silence distractions and strengthen this connection. Embracing our purpose is a universal right; it is something we all deserve.
Although the journey may be challenging, it is attainable through prioritizing healing, cultivating self-awareness, and maintaining a higher vibrational state.
