The Strange Encounters of Pier Fortunato Zanfretta with Aliens

Chapter 1: The Start of the Encounters
Pier Fortunato Zanfretta, an Italian security officer, asserted that he underwent a series of alien abductions between 1978 and 1981, during which he encountered three-meter-tall green humanoids.
These beings were described as “three-meter creatures, possessing green skin and hair, yellow triangular eyes, and red veins on their foreheads.” Born in 1952 in Nova Milanese, Zanfretta was working as a private guard when he began having these unsettling experiences. His encounters were so unusual and frightening that Italian journalist Rino di Stefano investigated the case, later publishing several articles and a book detailing these eerie experiences with extraterrestrial beings.
On the night of December 6, 1978, shortly after midnight, Zanfretta was on patrol in Torriglia, a town located near Genoa. The night was particularly dark, with the Moon obscured and snow blanketing the ground, creating a treacherous layer of ice on the road. As he approached a country house known as “Our House,” owned by Dr. Ettore Righi, his patrol car—a Fiat 126—suddenly stalled. All the vehicle's systems—the engine, lights, and radio—failed simultaneously.
Zanfretta noticed four unusual lights hovering over the garden of the house in the darkness. He stepped out of his car, armed with a flashlight and his weapon, to investigate the situation. Initially suspecting that burglars had entered the house, he moved toward the entrance, scaling a wall to catch them off guard. However, he was the one caught off guard when he felt a presence behind him. Turning around, he was confronted by a massive green being with flowing skin, towering at least three meters tall, its yellow triangular eyes fixed on him. In a panic, he dropped his flashlight, hastily picked it up, and fled.
As he sprinted away, Zanfretta was struck by a brilliant glow that illuminated the area behind him. Looking back, he witnessed an enormous, flat triangular object ascending from the rear of the house, emitting a high-pitched whistle. The intense heat radiated from the craft, compelling him to shield his eyes with his arm. He realized he was observing something extraordinary—a gigantic flying saucer, larger than the house itself. Despite the chaos, he managed to reach his vehicle, attempting to contact the operations center in Genoa.
At 12:15 AM, the radio operator, Carlo Toccalino, later recounted that Zanfretta was speaking in a frantic and disjointed manner, exclaiming, “Oh my God! They’re horrible!” When asked if the entities were human and if they were attacking him, he responded, “No, they are not men, they are not men!” The communication was abruptly cut off, prompting Toccalino to alert the head of the security service, Lt. Giovanni Cassiba.
A couple of hours later, fellow guards Walter Lauria and Raimondo Mascia arrived and found Zanfretta lying on the ground in front of the house. To their astonishment, after restraining him, they noticed his clothing was unusually warm, especially considering the freezing December temperatures. They also observed that the gate to the house was securely locked.
The Italian military police, known as the Carabinieri, soon arrived to investigate the incident. They discovered a clear imprint in the ground behind the country house, indicating that a heavy object had landed there. Morning frost had covered two large impressions in the grass, each measuring three meters in diameter and shaped like a horseshoe. Antonio Nucchi, the station commander at Torriglia, stated that he had no reason to doubt Zanfretta’s testimony, citing his reliable character and sound judgment.
Nucchi remarked, “I can confirm that he is a sensible individual without strange fantasies. When we examined the area the following day, he refused to accompany us, clearly terrified. Something extraordinary must have frightened him.” During the investigation, it was revealed that 52 residents in the vicinity of Torriglia had reported seeing strange lights in the sky at the same time Zanfretta described witnessing the flying object.
Upon first publication of the story, skepticism emerged quickly. Yet, the case has been thoroughly documented and remains unexplained.
Chapter 2: The Abduction and Aftermath
On that fateful night, Zanfretta reported seeing an unidentified flying object while on duty in Genoa. He described encountering a peculiar being clad in what appeared to be a metallic suit, sporting a triangular head with glowing green eyes. Allegedly, this entity abducted him and transported him aboard its spacecraft for a series of medical examinations.
Zanfretta’s account initially faced skepticism. However, several witnesses reported seeing strange lights in the sky around the time of the incident. The military police's investigation uncovered evidence that lent credibility to Zanfretta's claims. They found disproportionately large footprints surrounding his patrol car, measuring 50 cm long by 20 cm wide, with a noticeable gap between the sole and heel. Additionally, they determined that Zanfretta had fired his Smith & Wesson 38 Special five times, yet he had no recollection of whom he had shot.
His experiences with UFOs and abductions ignited a media sensation in Italy, transforming him into a public figure almost overnight. Nonetheless, many questioned his mental stability and the truthfulness of his story. To clear these doubts, Zanfretta consented to examination by neurologist Dr. Giorgio Gianniotti, who concluded that he was healthy but in shock.
Despite the examination, questions lingered. What was the reason behind the repeated abductions? What made him so special? What were the aliens' intentions? These questions remained unanswered, and while investigations continued, Zanfretta was abducted a third time in July 1979.
During this incident, Zanfretta was on motorcycle patrol in the residential area of Quarto when he vanished once more. A thorough search was initiated, and after two hours, he was discovered on the summit of Monte Fasce, near Genoa. Guards stationed along the only road to the mountain claimed they had not seen him pass by. Yet, Zanfretta was found at the mountain's peak.
To uncover what had transpired, Zanfretta underwent hypnosis at the International Medical and Psychological Center of Milan, where he was administered a truth serum by Professor Marco Marchesan. Under the influence of the serum, Zanfretta reiterated his previous statements, elaborating that during this latest abduction, he was “lifted off the ground by a strange green light emitted by a spacecraft.”
Professor Marchesan affirmed, “No human can consciously lie when under Pentothal, so it is quite probable that these encounters occurred.” However, this was not the final close encounter for Zanfretta; he would experience yet another abduction on December 2, 1979.
The story continues to captivate those interested in the unexplained, with many eager to delve deeper into the mysteries surrounding Zanfretta’s encounters with the unknown.
