The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.

Success holds different meanings for various individuals, making it essential to contextualize what it represents for each of us. This understanding allows us to recognize and appreciate success when it arrives.

In my time on this platform, I've come across numerous articles showcasing fellow authors earning over $1,000 and beyond.

Reading these articles has been both inspiring and motivating, as they demonstrate the platform's potential for achieving success through persistence and hard work. However, for some, especially those who may feel discouraged by their own lack of success, this can also feel daunting.

What should we do in such scenarios?

I perceive Medium as a space for sharing ideas and personal experiences through storytelling.

Our individuality shapes our writing and expressions, highlighting the diversity that enriches our community. Each contributor brings their distinct background and experiences to the table, fostering an environment of support and encouragement.

Coming from a large family, I've often joked with my siblings about being the youngest and how my existence was a result of the choices made by my parents.

For my parents, raising a big family and instilling values in us has always been a mark of success.

I have a friend in another country who works for the government and earns slightly less than $50 a month. Yet, through writing on a platform, he makes an average of $60 monthly, sometimes hitting three figures.

Though he hasn't left his day job, writing is his passion, and he has found an outlet for it. Would you consider him successful?

Ultimately, success is a personal concept that varies from person to person.

For me, success is entirely subjective; it cannot be quantified or judged by societal standards. It is a personal journey for each individual.
